What we do
Located in Malaysia, the ARC is jointly funded by the Malaysian Government and BT. Working closely with the Mobility Research Centre (MRC) in Adastral Park, the ARC focuses on wireless and mobility domains.
ARC activities include
- Mobility Middleware for exposing APIs that mobility application and content developers can utilise for launching innovative products, and Context-aware platform and application research
- Fixed Mobile Convergence research looking into converged network and services of mix multimedia communications
- Broadband Wireless Access research that investigates cost-performance issues around 802.11x and 802.16x. This includes identifying the technology gaps that exist in today's technologies
- Developing converged applications and services that demonstrate the benefits and advantages of the 21st Century Network
- Engaging Developer Forums (Java, Microsoft, Intel, HP, IBM, etc) to develop applications for the 21st Century Network
